Wagwan I'm Samuel Carpenter, but my friends just call me Sam. I'm simply a 20 year old 2D character animator currently living in London. A sentence one can and has been used to describe me is "A overly sarcastic nihilist trying his damndest to be an altruist", make of that what you will. Watching cartoons started out as a obsession of mine, mainly growing up on the very famous Newgrounds. Eddsworld, OneyNG and Jarrad Wright are just a few or my biggest inspirations and idols. That obsession that originated with watching scooby doo to internet cartoons would grow to become a passion and longing to understand the craft of animation. Watching what others had created filled me with a drive to create my own cartoons.

 

The "dream" for me so to speak would be me getting paid to make the cartoons I have always wanted to make, and being able to spread my work for others to see and enjoy if they so choose to do. To be able to see a project to completion and share it, is the pinacle of artistic expression to me. I love to animate and draw crazy no holds bar things. All sorts really. when someone asks why, I say why not? To be able to be ambitious and put all my effort, love and all my others traits into my work, and have others see it as a reflection of myself would be a dream come true. From over the top action scene to character driven exploratory peices I at some point want to do it all and not limit myself with practically rather only my imagination. I don't bog myself down with defining my art, just doing it. Art for arts sake, and my art is animation. I fucking love it.
